I. Chairman McCartney called the meeting to order and offered opening remarks at 1:15pm.

II. Dr. Mackey’s presentation was tabled.

III. Chairman McCartney provided an update on the reasoning behind why Alabama is conducting combined workforce days, and he mentioned that the quarter three meeting will be held on September 16, 2020 and that the quarter four meeting will be held on December 1, 2020. Both the quarter three and quarter four meetings will be held at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery, Alabama.

IV. Nick Moore provided an update on the Reimagining Workforce Preparation (RWP) grant opportunity made available to the state workforce board through the U.S. Department of Education.

V. Tonya Lee provided a description of the occupational competency models developed by the Alabama Committee on Credentialing and Career Pathways.

VI. Chairman McCartney adjourned the meeting at 1:35pm.
