Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funds provide services including programs for out-of-school youth that lack basic skills and are unemployed or underemployed and assistance for those with disabilities.

Secondary Career and Technical Education Programs

Alabama’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide our high school students with job readiness skills and employability training. Students who complete CTE programs gain industry recognized credentials and demonstrate immediate readiness to enter the world of work.
